Happiness Challenge, Day 17 and 18

Wow, this is a tough one, maybe I shouldn't have been so lazy yesterday and actually written on my blog instead of postponing it.

What inspires me ... There are many things honestly.

The farmers that go out at 6 in the morning these days, on their tractors preparing the harder than normal soil of this area for this years crops.

The amazing amounts of boundless energy some of my mom friends have, I can only hope to be as awesome as they are at this parenting thing one day.

My son, and how despite the fact that we can't understand him half the time, he soldiers through and still manages to express his thoughts and feelings to us in one way or another, and he still manages to love us all to pieces all the same.

My sister, she decided she knew what she wanted for her life and is mustering through every challenge life throws in front of her to get to it.

Humanity.... and how no matter how bad it is, and no matter how much proof life shows us publicly of the disarray we have become, it always throws the other side in your face, everyday, to keep you looking forward for the better day.

hmmmmmm this is a toughie - but I'd have to say Vanilla - because you can mix it with any Jame, Frosting, Syrup and make it into anything you want :D

Day 16!!! March Happiness Challenge!!!

This is a tough one because there really are so very many ...

Aside from spawning days though ... I'd have to say the happiest and proudest day of my life happened in a McDonalds ... It was the day I signed the paperwork for my house. And met one of the most awesome women I will ever have the pleasure of knowing.

Day 14 - March Happiness Challenge

Sally Albright: Well, if you must know, it was because he was very jealous, and I had these days of the week underpants.
Harry Burns: Ehhhh. I'm sorry. I need the judges ruling on this. "Days of the weeks underpants"?
Sally Albright: Yes. They had the days of the week on them, and I thought they were sort of funny. And then one day Sheldon says to me, "You never wear Sunday." It was all suspicious. Where was Sunday? Where had I left Sunday? And I told him, and he didn't believe me.
Harry Burns: What?
Sally Albright: They don't make Sunday.
Harry Burns: Why not?
Sally Albright: Because of God.

(If you knew how long it took me to find this so I wouldn't have to type it all out, you would be impressed with my dedication ... seriously.)

Happiness Challenge Day 11

Those who know me know that my son has Autism. This can make life a bit challenging sometimes, but it also makes all those little things in life so joyful and such a blessing. The moment in my life most recently that made me the happiest, grinning EAR TO EAR ... was the first time my baby said bye and waived.

Seem trivial right? Well my son was two and a half before he did this. He ran up to me and gave me a big kiss on the thigh, lifted his hand up to me and said "Byyee mom mom" and I smiled and teared up a bit, and admittedly bounced up and down and did a little dance. This was the first time my little had ever put two consecutive words together to make a sentence as well.

Still brings a tear of joy to my eye...

Happiness Challenge Days 5 - 10

Wellllllllll So much for getting into the habit of writing a blog daily. Busy life - phooey! But here is my catch up and I PROMISE to be better about it this week ... as well as I will have some awesome product reviews coming - some LOOOOOOOOONG overdue, and others just stuff I happen to like.

So without further ado ....

As odd as this will sound - or maybe cliche perhaps - EVERY SINGLE TIME I need a pick me up I listen to "Raise Your Glass" ~ P!NK. Just give me the happies ~ and I don't even drink ..lol

Uncle Kracker - Smile lyrics

Send "Smile" Ringtone to your Cell
You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler than the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok
Yeah it´s ok
And the moments when my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Don´t know how I lived without you
'Cuz every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile
Oh, you make me smile
Oh, you make me smile

Ironic because this also happens to be one of my favorite songs :)

Happiness Challenge - Day 4

Okay so I'm a few days late on the game here, but I'm jumping in anyway because:

A) It will get me in the habit of blogging daily
         And
B) It's an awesome idea!

This picture brings me joy every-time I see it. It took my son a long time to show personal expressions, meaning they were facial expressions of what HE was feeling versus copying what everyone around him was doing/feeling.

This picture was taken by my friend, Susan who is also a photog. She captured his expression - which anyone who has seen my pictures knows is hard to do :)
